Lindsay Bryson
CPDT-KA/KSA
Owner/ Trainer

Lindsay started training dogs when she got her first personal dog, a corgi named Ollie, in 2019. Ollie showed Lindsay the join in training, but also the challenges as well. Lindsay caught the training bug and began working part time at Diamonds in the Ruff in Spokane, WA.

When she and her partner made the move to the west side in 2022, Lindsay decided to make the transition from being a teacher to training dogs full time. She began working at different training facilities in the area, gaining hands-on experience with puppy training, group classes, and private training, finding the best ways to connect with both the people and dogs she met. In 2024, Lindsay decided to start looking for more opportunities, and the idea to start Joyful Dog Training Co. was born.

Lindsay hopes she can help dogs and owners discover or rediscover their joy for training. She believes that there is meant to be harmony and happiness in the relationships between people and animals, and strives to help build those relationships through compassionate, effective training.

She holds a Bachelor's degree from Montana State University in English Education, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge and Skills Assessed, and is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Evaluator. She prides herself on her educational background and continues to find ways to further her education.

Lindsay lives in Everett, WA with her partner Arrol and corgi Ollie, who continues to encourage her to be a better trainer every day.

Compassion

Every dog is an individual, so we approach training with patience and compassion towards each dog (and their people). Training should be rewarding, kind, and reflect the needs of the dogs and handlers.

Clarity

When we know what we want from our dogs, we create clarity in our training. Dogs will do what works for them, so let's make sure that what works also aligns with what you want! In the process we will build confidence through that clarity and reinforcement.
